Supporting your career with regular training
We care about our staff just as much as we care about our clients. All new starters at Genuine Care will have the benefit of being trained up immediately and offered ongoing training opportunities for you to improve your skillset and develop your profession.
When you join Genuine Care as a carer, you will embark on our esteemed learning and development programme. Unlike with many other care providers, all our training is facilitated in-house by experienced trainers. We take great pride in our training programme and the NVQ care certificate training is completely free when you are offered a job with us.
We have a specially designed training suite at our head office in Edenbridge where we focus on an engaging hands-on approach to learning how to be the best carer possible. After the initial training, we offer advanced training to help develop you and your career.
Pay and benefits
Visiting carers
We pay our carers who drive to our clients home’s to deliver care visits at a rate of £11.80 – £12.80 an hour. This rate varies depending on if you are working unsociable hours. With the cost of fuel rising, we have also recently increased our mileage rates to 45p per mile.
Live-in carers
Live-in care pay rates vary depending on the level of care needed by the client(s). They usually range from between £600 to £1,000 per week.
Refer a friend
Caring people usually know other caring people. If you begin working with us as a carer, you will receive £350 in your pay for every person you recommend to come and work as a Genuine Carer.
